Petals Occupational Therapy is a family run, independent, Paediatric Occupational Therapy practice owned and managed by Hayley Morley, Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist with post graduate training in Sensory Integration.
Petals OT can offer assessment and support for children, young people and their families, local authorities, and schools. Assessments are tailored for the individual client and support is available for difficulties with any of the following:
~ Sensory Processing
~ Handwriting skills
~ Movement & Coordination
~ Visual Perception
~ Fine Motor Skills
~ Self-Care Skills
~ Attention and participation at school
Assessments and support provided are community based and can take place at your childs home, education or preferred setting.
After completing a BA (Hons) in Childhood Studies from Nottingham Trent University in 2010, Hayley went on to work in a Special Educational Needs school with children with a range of additional needs. Discovering a passion for Occupational Therapy, moved to work as an Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor for a community Paediatric Team before completing a Batchelors of Science (BSc) Degree at Coventry University and becoming an Occupational Therapist in 2019.
Having always been passionate about working with children, Hayley has worked in numerous Paediatric teams both within the NHS and Independent Practice.
She has experience working in schools including mainstream, special educational needs, and independent specialist schools offering assessments, advice and intervention for students. Hayley has a special interest in Sensory Integration and has post-graduate training in this field (Modules 1 - 6 of the CLASI, ASI Wise - Certificate in Ayres Sensory Integration) and is currently working towards a Masters of Science (MSc) in Advancing Practice in Occupational Therapy and Sensory Integration.
